I went to a good bookstore in Denver once. I think it may have been called the Tattered Cover. Also, I hear legends about a cheesy restaurant/attraction called Casa Bonita.
Well, when I was in Denver we printed out our pictures at a Walgreens, bought new purses at the Goodwill while we were wating for the pictures to print, and then got caught in a traffic jam and took pictures of the statues we could see from the car. There was a one of a guy's head with a gold carrot in it that was pretty cool.
it seems like taking neil's suggestion will make taking martin's suggestion much easier, but i'm not sure that's such a good thing.
i'm looking forward to Tattered Cover. there's also a comics shop that is basically the Powell's of graphic novels, so that's exciting. and Casa Bonita, whatever it is, is now definitely on the list.
also, they have an aquarium! where they let you swim with the fishes!
well, my semester's over and i have a week until my job starts, so i'm free, and greg had a long weekend for memorial day, and we haven't been on a vacation in three years. at first we were going to drive to california, but gas is a bit too expensive right now, and we wouldn't have much time there if we did drive.
but denver seems like an adventure-worthy place to spend a weekend, and it's closer than vegas.

Get hauled off to the drunk tank! (It's remarkably easy!)

There is nothing to do in Denver. Take plenty of alcohol, or buy it there. Avoid the strip.

Ooh, I went to the aquarium! It kind of sucked.
how does an aquarium suck?
I read in the airplane magazine today that there's some sort of art festival in Denver this weekend.
