well, it could have been worse. i will reserve my complaints to keep them from being spoilers, but a few things struck me:

"ice bears". wtf?

the whole point of spelling "daemon" all funny like that is because you don't pronounce it "demon". yes, it also makes it look cooler, but really now.

WITCHES WEAR BLACK, DAMNIT. AND THEY FLY ON CLOUD-PINE BRANCHES. THEY DON'T JUST FLITTER ABOUT THITHER AND YON, MATERIALISING AT WILL.

i know the makeup people probably have a bunch of leftover eyeliner from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, but that doesn't mean you have to douse all the gyptians in it.
