and think, they've only had my application since last september!

Grrrr. I'm sorry. Did you know that my mother is having a log cabin built in Chama, NM right now? This means that if you stay there long enough, I'll routinely visit YOUR STATE because I HAVE to!

Did you know that a possible road trip is in the near(ish) future for all members of the Moss and Julia household, and that this possible road trip includes among other stops, a potential detour to Santa Fe if there are places to sleep and people interested in seeing us?

hmmmm! tell me when we are nearer to the near-ish future, as there are Plans Afoot; right now we have insufficient floorspace to host more than one person, as our house is, well, one room, which already contains two people, a cat, and soon an axolotl. but! we will have moved by June 1, likely into a much larger house with copious amounts of floor and possibly even beds and/or couches!

I have a feeling the nearish future will be after the first of June. Beds or couches are luxuries we would appreciate, but don't need in the strictest sense. We love cats! And are openminded about Axolotls. I've never encountered a real live one myself. We will keep you posted. Is Halation the best address for you?

You're getting an Axolotl? I've always wanted to visit Santa Fe...

Are you getting an axolotl... or are you becoming an axolotl?

halation is the best address, yes.

i am getting an axolotl! (maybe even two! although they're juvenile, so they might eat eachother. or else breed. so...)

they have a small colony in the science labs, but they always breed too many, and then they need homes, so we are adopting one. i am aging my tank as we speak.

i think as long as i avoid staring at it too long, i won't actually become one, although it doesn't seem like such a bad life, really. (unless you're the axolotl living in mnemosyne, because no one ever cleans its tank and it is very sad.)

Honestly - and I say this in all sincerity, with no insult intended - I can totally see you being a great axolotl. Maybe not so good at the sitting there and never moving part, though.

Wait . . . there's more to an Axolotl?

Um... havin' creepy-as-fuck eyes? They do that pretty good.

In hindsight, I think what I actually meant there is that I can totally see Anne with those frilly-gill things.
