ah. according to an email greg received thismorning, this is the result of 'many months work by the web development team to improve the functionality of the website' (sic). it sounds like they just tried to wodge everything they had into pure HTML, and added some sort of 'online event registration' capability, whatever that may be. i hate web 2.0.
theoretically, their 'next step' is to make it not be hideous, but they do consider what they've got right now to have improved navigation. (content-obscuring drop-down menus apparently constitute an improvement)
unfortunately, in the process they have managed to break the financial aid page, which is sort of problematic, given that i need to print two sets of forms which apparently no longer exist on their server. without said forms i lose my aid package, so that's inconvenient.

I think it was better looking when I first saw it after I got to campus in 1995. Web 0.7 or whatever.
dude, for serious, i remember seeing geocities websites with better layout. in 1995.
You saw my Geocities page???
Wow, why'd they change it? Their previous layout was really nice!
I'm amazed it's not in tables. Wow. That fucking sucks. I made a better page for them when I was making $8.00 an hour.
