i was disappointed to discover they've changed the formula recently: added some soy protein as a stabiliser and softener. i like them best when they're all stale and hard at the edges, but now they stay smoothly chewy and uniformly, chemically fresh, and it's a shame. no more lost fillings. they still taste good, though.
and man, now i'm all craving some peanut chews. not the new Stay Fresh formulation, but the old-school goldfarb-era ones, in the brown package. damnit, candy manufacturers, some of us LIKE stale inedible candies! if only i could find some mary janes -- i don't think those even exist in a fresh state.
