i doubt i'll be able to actually find out what ever happened, and the reasons behind it. the likelihood of collusion and lying to the administration rises and falls depending upon how charitably i feel like considering the situation at the moment. even if they didn't try to get me thrown out of the seminar behind my back, they really did break my trust. if you think your student is unhappy, instead of relying on gossip or rumour or figuring out how many times i've stopped into an administrative office in the past few months, maybe you should, you know, ASK YOUR STUDENT.

so van boxel and poppele have kicked me out of their seminar. tomorrow will be my last one with them. i'd have thought they'd at least have mentioned their evident displeasure with me at the don rag. this comes as something of a surprise.

i'm being transferred to carey/ames, instead. i didn't really want to leave, but it doesn't seem as though i get a choice in the matter. i didn't even really get an explanation, though i was told i could discuss the matter with them. i'm not sure what purpose this discussion will serve, since, you know, i've already been removed from the seminar and all

well, it could have been worse. i will reserve my complaints to keep them from being spoilers, but a few things struck me:

the whole point of spelling "daemon" all funny like that is because you don't pronounce it "demon". yes, it also makes it look cooler, but really now.

i know the makeup people probably have a bunch of leftover eyeliner from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, but that doesn't mean you have to douse all the gyptians in it.
